One day in the mountains of China I was exploring a remote and beautiful stream. At a particularly scenic and peaceful spot I saw a well worn bamboo chair just asking a tired hiker to take a rest. It was simple and very comfortable. I am told it is a traditional chair, made for centuries and used widely in rural homes. It is designed for indoor or outdoor use as it has no hardware of any kind. It%26#39;s picture is below as well as pictures of our chairs. Our chairs are exact copies but scaled up about 25% as Americans are a little bigger than the average Chinese. This is the original chair that inspired the traditional line of furniture. It was found at a particularlly scenic spot along a mountain stream.
The traditional chair is all bamboo, with no hardware of any kind, built in the traditional way.
